Failed to setup system proxy in Windows system

  • Under normal circumstances, after connecting in the LibCyber Desktop client, System Settings-Network-Proxy-Manual Proxy Setup will automatically open. If you find that "Manually set proxy" is not turned on as shown below, and "Use setup script" is turned on, and the status cannot be changed manually, follow the steps below.

  • Hold down the Win key + R key, enter "regedit" in the search bar, open the registry, and find the corresponding location: \HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings.

  • Right click on the folder pointed by the arrow to grant permissions.

  • Set this user to full control permissions, check it and apply.

  • Find the ProxySettingsPerUser key-value pair in the picture below in the folder, right-click - Modify, and change the value data from 0 to 1.

  • Restart the computer.
